Pragmatic, knowledgeable and personable, Russell has over 18 years experience in all types of commercial property development with particular emphasis on housing development (both private and affordable), leisure, agricultural development, renewables projects (wind solar, hydro and battery storage) and industrial. Russell also has significant experience acting in secured lending (for both mainstream and challenger lenders) as well as finance and refinancing of transactions the length and breadth of Scotland, both urban and rural, with a particular focus on agricultural finance lending.
After 8 years experience in the planning and environmental department of an international law firm earlier in his career, Russell also adds a wider knowledge of planning and environmental law and practice to the Kerr Stirling team.
